Strawberries in silver bowl

I wanted to paint strawberries and needed something shiny to make it interesting. We went to Honiton where they have a market every Saturday and I found this little bowl along with some old silver plate cutlery. I did struggle with it - reds again! I stuck with it just to see if I could turn it into a reasonable painting and with some suggestions from my Wetcanvas pals, I think I got there.

  1. I love strawberries, but somehow your painting make them look more delicous than real ones. I like how you make the silver bowl look so shiny and I like the reflection of the one strawberry on the table. In your paintings, I have to take a closer look in case I might miss the richness of the details you put in. Thanks for revealing the work in progress until you put in the finishing touches. I might learn something from that. Overall it is an excellent work of art. After I complete this comment, I will take one more closer look at it.
